City of Tempe
Tempe Wastewater Collection System
Collaborative Project: Partnered with Insituform Technologies on a Design-d-Build project for the City of Tempe. Scope of Work: Managed sewer bypass pumping, sewer point repairs, manhole inserts, reconstructions, and traffic control across multiple city locations. Challenging Bypass Operation: Self-performed a complex sewer bypass at Kyrene & Guadalupe Rd. intersection, a critical area in Tempe. Bypass Specifications: Designed for a flow rate of 10 million gallons per day (MGD) with a suction lift of 22 vertical feet. Technical Expertise: Addressed limited Net Positive Suction Head Available (NPSHA) for the pumps, showcasing advanced engineering capabilities. Key Contributions: Team members were instrumental in the design, calculations, and submittals for the successful 36" Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) installation.
