SPA 1 WRF Capacity Expansion

Project No. 013 City of Surprise Arizona

SPA 1 WRF Capacity Expansion
Plate 01. SPA 1 WRF Capacity Expansion — City of Surprise.

TFC completed critical infrastructure improvements as part of Felix Construction's capacity expansion project for the City of Surprise's SPA 1 Water Reclamation Facility. The scope included installation of approximately 650 linear feet of 36-inch HDPE pipe, 30 linear feet of 48-inch HDPE pipe, and three new manholes ranging from 6 to 8 feet in diameter. Due to existing utility conflicts and constructability challenges, a 60-linear-foot section was installed using bell and spigot 36-inch SDR C900 pipe. The new gravity sewer system alleviates flow constraints by conveying all flows from the existing 30-inch gravity sewer system to the recently upgraded influent pump station, supporting the facility's expanded capacity requirements.
